Business Planning

We have been commissioned to develop business plans for several arts companies but in every case it has been essential that this plan is ‘owned’ by the organisation concerned, so we work very closely with the board, the senior management and with all key departments to ensure that the business plan is comprehensive and deliverable.

In the last few years we have written business plans for Swindon Dance, Carmarthenshire Heritage Regeneration Trust, the Hotwalls Project in Portsmouth and Cyfarthfa Castle.

We have recently worked on the business plans for the new Shakespeare North Playhouse, which is due to open in 2022, and for the proposed International Concert Hall in Wimbledon, which has been designed by Frank Gehry.

We have undertaken Business Planning for:

• The new Chester Theatre
• The Alexandra Theatre, Bognor Regis and securing successful Levelling Up Fund bid for £19.4m towards the redevelopment of the building
• The Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton
• The Whitechapel Bell Foundry, a listed building which will be turned into artists’ studios
• Hotwalls Project, Portsmouth, development of artists’ studios in new creative quarter
• Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton, development of income generation and programming strategy
